Pursuant to Article 13 of Italian Legislative Decree no. 196 of 30 June 2003, “Code concerning the protection of personal information” (“Code”), MANIFATTURA DI VALDUGGIA SPA, with headquarters in Prato Sesia (NO) at Via Matteotti no. 115 ( hereinafter "Julipet”), in the role of Holder will treat your personal data as per DL . 196/2003 (Privacy Code). The above mentioned policy statement regards users interacting with web pages on the Shop and in particular to:
1. Unregistered users;
2. Registered users who avail themselves of online services and e-commerce service on the Shop.
The information note is also based on Recommendation 2/2001 adopted on 17 May 2001 by the European Data Protection authorities in the Group established under Article 29 of Directive no. 95/46/EC, to identify the minimum requirements for collecting personal data online.
General browsing of the Site, without subscribing to any of the online services, may entail the acquisition of information in a completely anonymous way. Nevertheless, during normal operation, the computer systems and software procedures for the operation of this website acquire some data which is implicitly transmitted in the use of Internet communication protocols. This information is not gathered in order to be associated to the identified persons, but which by its very nature could, if processed and associated to data held by third parties, lead to the identification of the users.
This category of data includes the IP addresses or names of computer domains used by the users when connecting to the website, URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) addresses of requested resources, the time of the request, the method used in submitting the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in reply, the numerical code indicating the state of the reply given by the server (OK, error, etc.) and other parameters concerning the operating system and computer environment of the user.
This data is used solely to gather anonymous statistical information on the use of the website and to check that it is working correctly. This data is not notified or disclosed to third parties.
That being stated, the processing of your data will be carried out by Julipet according to adequate modalities in compliance with the Privacy Code as follows:
ART 1. Purpose of data processing
We will use the information you provide for purposes strictly related to:
1) Your registration to the Shop and in order to comply with legal or regulatory obligation;
2) The execution of e-commerce services provided by Ragno:
2a) To allow the correct execution of the operations related to your online purchase and, therefore, to allow Julipet to correctly and punctually comply with the obligations deriving from the contract and with related legal or regulatory obligations;
2b) The e-mail address you provided while purchasing or using a service on the Shop may be transferred to third parties in order to allow the direct sale of alike products (soft spamming), only upon your previous and explicit consent;
3) Upon your consent, we may use your personal data in order to communicate to you any special news and promotions (newsletter included), discount tickets and special offers related to Julipet or third parties' products, as well as for market research to rate your satisfaction (customersatisfaction), by electronic means, such as e-mail, text messages, phone or mail;
4) Upon your consent, we may use your personal data to determine what kind of consumer you are, by making a survey about your personal tastes, preferences, lifestyle and to rate your satisfaction in order to provide better services;
5) Statistical surveys.
Art. 2 Personal data provision and failure to consent to data processing
We remind you that the provision of personal data for the above mentioned purposes (1 and 2b) is merely facultative. Nevertheless, since data processing is required to register to the Shop, your potential refusal to confer such data will not allow you to complete your registration and purchase on the Shop. Moreover, after your registration and purchase of online products, you will have to provide further personal data, including delivery address. Your potential refusal to confer such data will not allow you to complete your online purchase. In case you select "Credit Card" as a payment method, you will be required to provide your credit card data. Such data will not be processed by us. As above mentioned stated in Art. 1, your consent to data processing is merely facultative and will not imply any consequence on your Shop registration and online purchase.
Failure to consent to data processing will exclusively imply the following consequences:
i) Failure to consent to data processing will not allow you to receive news and promotions, discount tickets and special offers from Julipet or third parties' products via e-mail, text messages, phone or mail and will prevent Julipet from carrying out market research;
ii) Failure to consent to data processing for purpose stated in Art. 1.4) will prevent Julipet from determining your personal profile, in order to guarantee your satisfaction and provide better services, as well as sending you information or advertisement based on your specific interest via e-mail, text messages, phone or mail.
Your consent to data processing for one or more of the aforesaid purposes, and limited to purposes described in Art. 1, 2.2 can be revoked anytime by modifying your profile and by clicking on the "Unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any notification containing advertising information.
Art. 3 Mode of processing
The data are processed by means of IT and telematic tools and hardcopy supports, in respect of the provisions of law tending to guarantee security and confidentiality, in compliance with Privacy Code. In particular, all security measures will be implemented so that the minimum level of security requested by law be always met, allowing the aforesaid data only to the person in charge of the processing appointed by the Owner or by any responsible person nominated by the Owner. The collected information will be fair and limited to that which is necessary for the identified purposes. The mode of processing will be managed and protected in safe and controlled environment.
Art. 4. Data disclosure
For the above-mentioned purposes, your data may be communicated to the following subjects:
a) Public or private entities, individuals or legal entities, (e.g. Public Authorities) if the data communication results necessary or appropriate to the correct accomplishment of the contractual obligations undertaken, as well as of legal obligations;
b) Societies or third person in charge of printing, packaging and delivery of products purchased on the Shop;
c) Post offices and couriers in charge of the delivery of the products purchased on the Shop;
d) Consultants in charge of the setting up, managing, and update of the hardware and software which are property of Julipet or Julipet consultants in chargeof the provisions of the services outlined above;
e) Internet providers in charge of sending documentation and/or information;
f) Societies in charge of processing and sending advertisement or information on behalf of Julipet;
g) Public or private entities, individuals or legal entities, (e.g. lawyers, chartered accountants, tax consultants, Clerks of Courts; Chambers of Commerce etc.) if the data communication results necessary or appropriate to the correct accomplishment of the contractual obligations undertaken, as well as of legal obligations.
Your personal data will not be disclosed and will remain anonymous when processed for statistical surveys or market research.

Art. 6. Storage of personal information
Your personal information will be stored for a limited amount of time in order to guarantee the correct performance of our services. In case of cancellation or failure in accessing to your account, your data will be stored for administrative purposes for a period of three months, with the exception of particular law obligations regarding the storage of accounting documentation or for purposes of public safety.
In such cases, the automatic cancellation of your data (including the ones that might have been disclosed to third parties) will take place. In any case, your personal information will be stored for marketing and consumer's habits purposes for the amount of time established by law and required by the Office of Personal data protection, that is to say for 12 and 24 months respectively. At the end of such amount of time Julipet may ask for user's consent in order to reactivate his/her data processing anonymously and solely for statistic purposes.
Art. 7. Right of access to personal data
According to art. 7 of Privacy Code, Customer has the right to:
a) To obtain confirmation as to existence of personal data concerning him/her and communication of such data in an intelligible form;
b) to obtain by Owner:
The source of personal data, of the purposes and methods of its processing, of the logic applied to the processing, if the latter is carried out by electronic means;
Identification details of Data Controller;
Identification of the entities or categories of entity to whom or which the personal data may be communicated and who become aware of said data in their capacity as designated representative in the State's territory, data processors or people in charge of processing;
c) to obtain:
Updating, correction or integration of his/her personal data;
erasure, anonymisation or blocking of data that has been unlawfully processed, including data whose retention is unnecessary for the purpose for which it was collected or subsequently processed;
certification to the effect that operations have been notified, and also related to their contents, to the entities whom or which the data was communicated or disclosed, unless this requirement proves impossible or involves a manifestly disproportionate effort compared with the right that is to be protected;
the data subject shall have the right to object, in whole or in part:
on legitimate grounds, to the processing of personal data concerning him/her, even though it is relevant to the purpose of collection;
to the processing of personal data concerning him/her, where this is performed for the purpose of sending advertising material, marketing direct sales or conducting market or commercial communication surveys. The right of object to the data processing for the aforesaid purposes (2.2b and 3 Art. 1) must be exercised both through e-mail or text messages and mail or phone, with the exception of this right being partially exercised.
